A Message From The Founder
Hello, my name is Benoit Chaves, founder of 1CHANCE. I founded 1CHANCE in memory of two friends of mine, Karim Simms and Promise Nkenda, who were both tragically killed due to an ongoing gang feud in East London.
Ever since, I have been on a mission to create awareness and prevent youths from joining gangs. I have first-hand experience with gangs due to the location I lived in and know how gangs recruit youths. Furthermore I am fully aware of why youths join gangs — that's why I have decided to create our Criminal Law poster and distribute books that inspire and motivate.
This website also highlights core issues such as youth grooming, joint enterprise and drug dealing.
I am hoping our Law poster will deter youths from committing crime and violent acts directly or indirectly — and serve as a daily reminder of how important it is to be on the right side of the law.
Please feel free to contact me via email and I will respond quickly.

What We Focus On
A visual deterrent and daily reminder of the consequences of crime, designed for homes, schools, and youth spaces.
Distributing literature that inspires, motivates, and presents young people with a different path.
Equipping families and young people to recognise the predatory tactics used by gangs to recruit.
Educating youths on a legal doctrine that can convict them for crimes they did not directly commit.
The Goal
Reach our £100k goal to deliver free anti-gangs seminars to schools across London.
